Other Offerings

Caregiver Support Group
If you are a caregiver for a family member or loved one, you know the unique demands and responsibilities of that role. The always “on” experience, the frustrations of trying to balance other family responsibilities, and the grief of watching a loved one’s changes in physical and cognitive capabilities.
Our Caregiver Support Group is a free, drop-in group for caregivers who experience all aspects of this role. This is an opportunity for you to know you are not alone in this experience, receive support, and share your wisdom with others in the group.
Please join us on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month virtually on zoom, 3:15-4:45pm. Email info@windhorsecare.com for the link to this gathering.

Dementia Experience
The Dementia Experience is a profound and unique way to deepen our understanding of people living Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Participants complete a series of tasks while wearing simple alterations to their senses, like vision-limiting goggles. The experience mimics the frustrations caused by dementia. Participants are invited to talk through and process their experience with skilled Windhorse staff members and other participants afterwards.
Duration is about 45 minutes in total.
This experiential process opens our hearts to more compassion and understanding of what living with dementia can be like. If you are interested in bringing this powerful educational experience to your organization or facility, please send your request to info@windhorsecare.com.
Thank you for your interest!

Death Cafe
A Death Café is a discussion group where everyone is welcome to come together to have an open and compassionate discussion about death and dying. The goal is to decrease stigma around death, increase awareness of issues surrounding death/dying, and to help people make the most of their lives. There are no requirements for this offering other than bringing yourself just as you are!
Please join us for one of our upcoming public offerings, or connect with us if you’d like to have us host one for your organization.
